Evricom has developed and manufactures anti-frost candles to protect fruit trees and vines from frost. When the candles burn, the temperature of the air rises by heating it and the smoke, which forms a protective blanket and prevents heat loss.
Our candles increase the air temperature by up to 7 degrees depending on the amount of candles used and the weather conditions.
To achieve effective protection, the recommended amount of candles is between 200 and 500 per hectare of area depending on weather conditions.
Anti-frost candles are made from a paraffin mixture and supplied in metal boxes with a handle and lid. The normal burning time is between 10 and 12 hours for a candle weighing 4kg when following the instructions for use.
